Prologue by Dr Sommai
“Dr Sommai Tongprasert MD: The Miracle Doctor Who Triumphed Over Cancer”
There are many patients who have come to me because of various illnesses. I must explain to them first that my title of “The Miracle Doctor” does not really make me “larger than life”. I am merely a surgeon with many years of experience providing treatment for cancer patients.
I only accept patients with cancer or allergies. It’s not that I am unable to treat other illnesses, but you can pretty much self-prescribe your own medication or go to other reliable doctors for that purpose. Only these two illnesses are difficult to beat, no matter how often you undergo treatment, especially cancer. If the patient is in the last stage, death lies in wait.
Some cancer patients know their fate — how long they have left to live — from the doctor’s analysis. Some may live three months, six months, or up to one year. Some receive chemotherapy in order to prolong their lives, but it is very difficult to help those patients. Those who have undergone chemotherapy are in poor condition because chemotherapy destroys their immune system and causes cancer cells to spread all over their bodies. Because of this, I do not accept all patients, only those I feel I can help. I am not God, although some people praise me and call me that.
[Oncology News International, Vol. 14, No. 5: Report on 27th Annual CTRC-AACR San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium Abstract 6014 (8-11 December 2004).
“German investigators from Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena, have shown that Taxol (leading chemotherapy drug) causes a massive release of cells into circulation …
“Such a release of cancer cells would result in extensive metastasis months or even years later, long after the chemo would be suspected as the cause of the spread of the cancer. …
“Paclitaxel (Taxol) produces the greatest degree of tumor shrinkage but also the greatest release of circulating tumor cells. …
“These cells remained in circulation for at least five months after surgery.”]
As I am 89 years old this year , there is only a little over a year before I retire. I have devoted myself to assisting mainly cancer patients. Despite being just one man, I am fully determined with a specific goal in mind. However, I shall be 90 years old soon [27 December 2010] , and wish to retire to rest at the end of my life. In the best interest of numerous patients, I would like to devote myself to those with cancer. This book will help those readers who are patients or related to cancer patients to find an alternative treatment.
Instead of depending solely upon new technology, you may find that ancient herbal medicines can treat cancer. A number of people, whose doctors had advised them to rest at home for their final, instead lived for another decade or two. I have personally come across some patients in the last stage of cancer that lived for many years after taking herbal medicine prescribed by other doctors. I hope that this book will shed some light on the subject for those interested in or suffering from cancer, although it is only a small flashlight. However, amid the darkness of a cave, it should relieve you of some fear and aid you in finally finding the way out.
I wish you all good health, and hope that you stay clear of all sickness, especially cancer. — Dr Sommai Tongprasert
